Topic: Almighty's Shelter
Psalm 91:1 He who dwells in the shelter (secret place) of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
Dwell means to live with or stay permanently. If we live permanently with him; We would talk to God when we wake (good morning God) he would be with us all day.
When we abide in God's shadow two things occur we are protected b/c God is leading and we are learning and developing God's ways b/c we are following him.
Picture a shadow its usually the same size or bigger than the actual person depending on the light. Jesus is light which would cast the largest shadow. That's a huge covering! When someone shadows us at work they are learning/observing us to gain insight & experience. So by dwelling with God we find protection, & wisdom.
The scripture says we will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
Almighty is the Hebrew word Shaddai, which means "Most Powerful." The addai part means His ability to supply abundantly ['The Abundant One'] or His Majestic Strength. The Greek meaning of Almighty is "he who holds sway over all things, the Ruler of All."
If we dwell with The Most Powerful, the Ruler of All, whom shall we fear, what can't we accomplish? Every decision we make we must consult God b/c we are in his shadow. The second we make a decision on our own we move out of his shelter/shadow and therefore we are w/o his protection and guidance. We can't do what we want and walk in The Almighty's shadow. We can't be in two places at once. When we are in someone's shadow we do what they do we follow them.
Stay in tune to God. Follow God don't ask God to follow us he is Almighty, Ruler over All, Most Powerful! Imagine the gifts walking with the Almighty it's like having VIP passes everywhere we go! There is no better connection.
