Monday Motivation/ Calling all Leaders

Monday Motivation
Topic: Calling all Leaders

2 Samuel 23:3-4,6
He that ruleth over men must be just,
ruling in the fear of God. And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.

Are you a just leader or an unjust leader?

Just comes from the Hebrew word sadiyq which means being right or lawful in action or cause. It means being right/ righteous in conduct & character. It means being righteous and vindicated (clears someone of blame or suspicion) by God. It means being correct.

When we lead people  we often worry about how we will be perceived. We worry about our approval rating. When we focus on our approval rating and less on God we begin to make unjust decisions to please the people.

God said to rule with the fear of God, which is to rule in right conduct and character.  It means our actions must be Godly. Our character should be blameless. He said to rule knowing that he would clear us from blame or suspicion if needed.

We must behave as men/ women of God everywhere we go. When we fear God, we love him so much we don't want to be outside his will. We have to be righteous everywhere we go, not religious but righteous. We must behave righteously in leading.

We can't lead people and sleep around with our team members.
We can't lead people and steal from the organization.
We can't lead people gossiping & backbiting.
We can't lead and enforce the rules with some but not for all.

When we rule unjustly we are godless and worthless and God desires to have us thrown away.
2 Samuel 23:6
But wicked, godless, and worthless lives are all like thorns to be thrust away, because they cannot be taken with the hand.

Just Leader

When we rule with the fear of God, we rule justly, and God will make us shine like the light of morning when the sun rises.

The light of the morning is luminous because its the end of darkness. Just take a moment to receive that.
Literally each day has nightfall and at the end of night is the morning light.
The morning light represent the end of darkness. He didn't say he would make us as noonday or as the afternoon.
He said he would make us as the morning light.
We would be the end to darkness.
We would be the daylight.
We would be the sunrise, we would be the bright joy after distress.
He said it would be a morning without clouds. Meaning there would be nothing blocking our light.
He would make us as luminous as the morning light!!

2 Samuel 23:4
And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth,
even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.

He said we would be as tender grass springing up. In Palestine after rainfall, patches of grass would spring up rapidly even over parched or barren land.
When we are leading it can be dry and barren when we arrive but God will cause the rain to fall and we will be like fresh grass.
We will be a fresh covering.
We will spring up rapidly covering all parched and barren areas.
We shine through with brilliance.

Rain will come and through that rain we must remain submitted to God unwavering in our faith and God's standards.  Through that submission he will allow us to shine.

Fear God, Lead Justly and Shine!
Fear God, Lead Justly and Shine!
Fear God, Lead Justly and Shine!

Enjoy your FLS Day!

 Pray:

You are Almighty God, Lion of Judah, Beautiful Rose of Sharon. I repent of the sins. Please forgive me for my sins.
O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob! Selah
Behold our shield, O God; look on the face of your anointed! For a day in your courts is better
than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor.
No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, blessed is the one who trusts in you (Psalms 84:8-12 )! Help me to trust in you and walk upright before you. Help me to lead justly. I yield to your rule and authority over my leadership skills. My soul says yes. Thank you for never leaving me or forsaking me.
In Jesus name. Amen
