Tuesday's Inspiration/ Wise, Strong Rich

Tuesday Inspiration
Topic: Are you smart, strong or rich?

Jeremiah 9:23-24
Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord.

When we receive a gift and someone ask where did we get it, what do we say?
We say "it was a gift".
Why then do we boast on the gifts God gives us as if we obtained them ourselves.
We may think we worked hard to sharpen our skills, but who gave us a mind to work hard, to sacrifice, to dream, to desire, to better ourselves. Our help comes from The Lord (Psa 121:2)
Delight The Lord

God gives us lovingkindness.
His judges us and he gives us righteousness. We need to boast and glory in that. Boast in knowing God. Boast in understanding God.

We can never truly know or understand God, but in seeking him and chasing after him we will become humble.
Know that all glory belongs to the Father. We were purchased with a price (1Cor 6:20). We don't belong to ourselves.

In serving him we will come to know our intelligence, might, & wealth are temporal and will wither away, but God and his word will stand forever (Isa 40:6-8).  We must put our trust in God's word.

When our strength fades God will strengthen us.
When our money doesn't sustain us God will provide for us.
Stand on his word. Get to know him.

Our talents, our strengths, our wisdom, & our wealth all comes from above. What we choose to do with it will make us or break us. Will assist us or hinder us.

Get to know God in an intimate way. Allow him to take control. Glory in his lovingkindness. Boast in his righteousness.

Delight The Lord today! He desires an exclusive committed relationship. He wants to be the only God we serve.

Pray:

Our Father whose name is above all names. Forgive me for glorifying myself. Teach me to glorify in you and only you. There is a yes in my spirit. I desire to know you and your greatness. Show me your ways and teach me to live holy.
In Jesus name. Amen
God bless you!
