God’s Command



Today’s Inspiration ๐Ÿค—❤️

God has given us a command. Not a suggestion but a command. 

Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

If you are experiencing fear, doubt, or discouragement, seek the Lord for strength. Press through your fears and leap towards faith. 

If you are in a battle with your emotions and your fears, fight them with the word of God. Jesus loves you and is absolutely crazy about you. If God is for you who can be against you? There is noone greater than our God.

When we dwell on our fears we are only considering ourselves and not our God. 

Philippians 4:12-13 (NIV) I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

Remember, regardless of what you are facing you can face anything with Jesus who gives you strength.

Seek Shelter & Check Forecast



Today’s Inspiration ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜Š❤️

God has promised to deliver us out of every trouble. We have to believe God in the midst of our afflictions. We have to speak God’s word and not our feelings. We have to trust God and never doubt Him!

Psalms 34:19 
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
Psalms 34:20-22 
he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken. Evil will slay the wicked; the enemies of the righteous will be condemned. The Lord will rescue his servants; no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.

Our refuge is in our belief. Our deliverance is in our faith. 
If we believe God, we will seek God in our affliction. 

If we were in an actual storm, we would seek shelter, and check the forecast. 
We would likely stay inside until the storm subsided.
We would listen for new directions from the news report.  

It is the same with spiritual storms or afflictions in our lives. 
Seek shelter and check the forecast. Pray and read the word. 

In an actual storm we repeat the forecast over and over to everyone and anyone until the forecast changes or the storm is over. 

We need to do the same in spiritual storms. 
We need to speak the forecast and not our feelings. 
The forecast is the Word of God. Speak the forecast. Speak the word. Only God has the aerial view. God sees the end in the beginning. 

Every time we complain, seek others, or seek anything other than God, it is equivalent to stepping outside in the middle of a hurricane. 

Do not leave your shelter. Do not leave Jesus. 
It is a storm. It will pass. It may take time. 
Speak the word. Believe the word. Live the word. 
Believe God by following God’s instructions. 
Wait it out and never doubt.

Trials don’t last! 

In the center of adversity is the moment we begin to doubt. It is the moment where we lose momentum. The moment where we need a push to get to the other side. 

2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (KJV)
We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed. 

Even when it feels as if the walls are closing in they haven’t. You are still here. You may be perplexed, doubting your ability to make it through, but hold tight to hope. Clinch to faith. God has not abandoned you and you are not destroyed. 
You are likely in the eye of the storm. Find safety in Jesus who is our strong tower.  Hold on to Jesus unchanging hands. Soon the storm will pass and you will be wiser, stronger, and better than before.

For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!

Have you ever been in the middle of a storm but could see God’s glory? Have you ever felt pain but could feel God’s peace come upon you?

Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

If you are going through trials keep the faith. Regardless of what it looks like trust God. Regardless of how it feels, pray to keep your mind on Jesus. Do not let your mind wander and do not entertain anything contrary to the word of God.

Seek God Only

Do not follow after the world, follow God! Do not seek predictions in zodiac signs, tarot cards, psychics, or other false doctrine.  Seek Jesus and read God’s word. Our signs should be Jesus. People should know us by our fruit. We are the salt of the earth. Having the Holy Spirit transcends any predictions that man has created.

This is what the Lord says: “Do not act like the other nations, who try to read their future in the stars. Do not be afraid of their predictions, even though other nations are terrified by them.
Leviticus 19:31 (NLT) “Do not defile yourselves by turning to mediums or to those who consult the spirits of the dead. I am the Lord your God.

Deuteronomy 18:9-11 (NLT)
“When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, be very careful not to imitate the detestable customs of the nations living there. ......And do not let your people practice fortune-telling, or use sorcery, or interpret omens, or engage in witchcraft, or cast spells, or function as mediums or psychics, or call forth the spirits of the dead.

Everything you need to know about you can be found in the word of God or by seeking God. The stars didn’t create you and cannot predict what is unique for you.

Are we ready ?

The Day of the Lord
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.

Are we ready for the day of the Lord? Are we ready for our day?

We do not know the day or the hour when our lives will end or when the Lord will return. Are we ready? If your purpose is in this world it will burn on that day. If your purpose is in the world it will wither away on your last day. 

2 Peter 3:11 (NLT)
Since everything around us is going to be destroyed like this, what holy and godly lives you should live. 

We should try to live a life that is pleasing to the Lord. When we live for God our lives become enhanced our initiatives are advanced and our needs are financed. 

God will supply all of our needs and give us the desires of our heart but we have to submit.

2 Peter 3:13-15 (NLT)
But we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth he has promised, a world filled with God’s righteousness.
And so, dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in his sight.
And remember, our Lord’s patience gives people time to be saved. This is what our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you with the wisdom God gave him.

Love

Love one another!
Love is action!

But most of all love is divine. 
It is in our blood line because it comes from the True Vine. 
It is never tainted or manufactured only hand crafted. 
Our love is given to us by the Master. 
When you receive God’s love it is so true, it becomes easy to love, even the ones who may have harmed you.

Living in the Light
Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.

Without love from the Vine our love will never shine. Our love will wilt away and decay by the slightest offense we may encounter on any given day. 

Love like Jesus loved and you will find, a sweet aroma that will transcend space and time. 
A love so deep your enemies will also reap from the love you share. 
It will make the hardest heart begin to care!

Anger

Anger keeps us from God. Anger is the condiment that gives sin its flavor. Anger makes us feel good when we take revenge. 

Vengeance is reserved for the Lord.  When we act on our anger we have decided to become lord, by worshiping ourselves and our feelings. 

We cannot worship ourselves and worship Jesus. There is only room for one Lord to reign. 

Jam 1:19(ESV) Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

We were created for righteousness. 

Ephesians 4:26 (ESV)
Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger. 

We must forgive quickly and often.

Ecclesiastes 7:9 (ESV)
Be not quick in your spirit to become angry, for anger lodges in the heart of fools.

Anger sneaks into your heart seducing you from the start. Enticing you with hurt feelings making you immune to forgiving. 

When your heart becomes hard there isn’t any room to hear from God. 
When your heart is hard you turn your back on the Almighty God. 
When your heart is hard you become your own god. 

Anger doesn’t care that you are a joint heir. Her job is to rob you of your inheritance by keeping you from repentance. 
Anger will hold you hostage with your emotions and keep you from daily devotions. 
Anger will caress and seduce you, to keep you from walking in what God has.... for you. 
Anger will wrap you in her arms and promise to protect you from all harm. 

Anger is a deceiver created to destroy the heart of the believer. Don’t allow anger to be your anchor. Trust in the Lord your Maker.

How do you know you love God

How do you know you truly love God? How do you demonstrate your love for the Lord? If you were arrested today for loving the Lord what evidence would they have against you? Would you be convicted beyond a reasonable doubt or would they drop the charges due to insufficient evidence?

Whenever I read psalms of David I can always count on King David confessing his love to God. 

How often do you tell the Lord “I love you”? How often do you reflect on God’s marvelous works and not your personal problems. How often do you sing to the Lord just for love, just because?

Psalms 18:1-2 (NLT)
I love you, Lord; you are my strength.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. 

Who is God to you? Does he reign in your life?

If Jesus is Lord, sing to Him and profess your love today and always!

Mourning into Joy

We can choose joy or we can choose pain. God can turn mourning into joy when we allow joy to be employed. When we no longer give our hearts to pain by reliving the hurt everyday. 
We must fire hurt and pain because when we employ them we have nothing to gain but bitterness and disdain. 
But when we turn our hearts over to the Lord, He takes our mourning and gives us joy. 

Psalms 30:11-12 (NLT)
You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, that I might sing praises to you and not be silent.
O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever!

Give thanks to God and give your heart to the Lord so the pain you feel you will feel no more.

Fear is the absence of hope. God lives among us to calm our fears. God’s word was given to us to provide us with hope and encouragement while we passionately pursue all that God has for us. 

When we do not accept God’s Love we become victims of fear and doubt. When we do not read God’s word we become discouraged while we wait. 

Zephaniah 3:17 (NLT)
For the Lord your God is living among you.
He is a mighty savior.
He will take delight in you with gladness.
With his love, he will calm all your fears.
He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”

Imagine God rejoicing over you and calming All your fears. That is the peace we have in Christ Jesus. 

When we put our trust in God and receive God’s love, worry and doubt fade away.

...... And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled.

Read God’s word and your heart will be encouraged. Accept God’s love your fears will fade away.

It’s hard to truly understand the power of God. The magnitude of his power. The depth of his grace. The breadth of his mercy. The immeasurability of his love and extent of his dominion. 

If we understood his level of supreme power, authority, and dominion we would approach God with an appropriate level of reverence and faith that supersedes doubt . We would not allow ourselves to enter into fear or pity because we would consider we serve the All powerful, All mighty God. We would consider we serve the King of kings and the Lord of lords. We would consider we serve the Creator of the universe. 

God’s love is infinite. God’s power is limitless. If God be for you WHO could be against you?

Nothing Can Separate Us from God’s Love
What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?

It is ok to consider your situation but TRUST your God!

Do you believe it’s working?

In life we have peaks and valleys.

When we believe God, our valleys become opportunities that help sustain our peaks. The only way out of a valley is up. If we look down and around, we will never get off the ground. 

When we look up we see where we are going and not where we are. 
When we look up we see God. 
When we see God we have hope. 
When we have hope we trust God 
When we trust God we gain strength. 
When we gain strength we acquire momentum. 
When we acquire momentum we look for ways out of the valley. 
When we get out the valley we give God glory! When we give God glory we share our story! When we share our story we plant a seed that grows into a vine, that the next person in the valley will find. 
Because we took the time, they will be able to use that vine, to help them climb out of the valley that has them confined. 

When we see God’s glory we realize we are a part of a much bigger story. 

Romans 8:28-29 (NLT)
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

We are siblings in Christ whatever you are going through Jesus already paid the price. Your life story is for God’s glory.

You are chosen! Cry out!!

God chose us for royalty! 
We should look and sound different. 

We should not be in camouflage blending in. We are not in a covert operation. 
We are not undercover. 
We are royalty. We are Holy. We are peculiar.

So get rid of all evil behavior. Be done with all deceit, hypocrisy, jealousy, and all unkind speech. Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, now that you have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness.

Cry out for the Lord! Cry out for God’s nourishment. To grow in God we need God. Like babies need constant nourishment we need to constantly receive God’s direction and correction, so we can have His reflection.

Stay in the Light ๐Ÿ’ก

We cannot escape God’s Love. We cannot hide our sin. No matter where we go Jesus is within.

I can never escape from your Spirit!
I can never get away from your presence!
If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there.
If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me.
I could ask the darkness to hide me
and the light around me to become night but even in darkness I cannot hide from you.

Stay in the Light ๐Ÿ’ก!
Jesus sees you in the darkness and He sees you in the light. Be the light! Fight to stay in God’s sight regardless of your plight. Keep Jesus in the spotlight and God will ensure you are always alright because it’s your birthright. You are a child of the King. 

Once you are born again you enter in....to the heavenly realm. With your belt of truth and your feet of peace. With your shield of faith to block the hate. With your breastplate saturated with righteousness to ward off any ounce of indecisiveness.  

When Satan attempts an invasion with cunning persuasion, you can simply shine your helmet of salvation to let him know he has reached the wrong destination. 

You can cut him with your sword because you are rooted in the Lord. The word will pierce and offend and he will flee once again. Then you can rest in prayer thanking God for his Armor that is always there (Eps 6:10-18). 

Stay in the Light, be bright and don’t give up the fight. Jesus is with you.

We belong to the Lord not to the world.

So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then.

Now that we know better we should do better. Seek the Lord for strength.

But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. For the Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I am holy.” And remember that the heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favorites. He will judge or reward you according to what you do. So you must live in reverent fear of him during your time here as “temporary residents.” For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.

What are you planting๐ŸŒฑ?

Our life is like a farm and we are farmers. When a farmer plants corn ๐ŸŒฝ seeds he expects to reap corn ๐ŸŒฝ at harvest. If a farmer plants watermelon ๐Ÿ‰ seeds he expects to reap watermelons ๐Ÿ‰ at harvest. 

What seeds are we planting? If we live a life of sin do we expect to reap blessings? 

The wages of sin is death. If our life is full of sin we will reap death. Death to our relationships, career, life, skills, reputation, etc. 

Galatians 6:7-8 (NLT)
Don’t be misled you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.

Jesus came so we would have life more abundantly. To live an abundant life we have to submit to God. We have to plant seeds of that will reap heavenly harvest. 

Galatians 6:9 (NLT)
So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.

If the seeds you have planted were corrupt, dig them up by repenting. Ask for forgiveness and turn from doing wrong.  Seek God for direction and ask for strength to do right. 

If you have been planting goods seeds but are on the verge of giving up, your harvest is coming. Your time in near. Keep cultivating. Keep believing. Focus on Jesus. What you see is not what you planted continue to wait for your harvest.

What do you treasure? Do you treasure God? Some say “God knows my heart ❤️.” 

Our heart is with our treasure. If we treasure God our heart is always with Jesus. 

Think of something or someone you treasure. Do you think about it more than you think about Jesus?

Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.

Our steps are ordered by the Lord but if our treasure is not in Jesus someone or something other than God is guiding our steps and stealing our hearts ๐Ÿ’•.

“Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal.

Search your heart. Give Jesus your whole heart and you will find an abundant treasure in heaven.

Trust God❤️

We have to trust in the Lord. We need to confess that God is our God and our future is in Jesus hands.

But I am trusting you, O Lord, saying, “You are my God!” My future is in your hands.
Rescue me from those who hunt me down relentlessly. Let your favor shine on your servant. In your unfailing love, rescue me.
Don’t let me be disgraced, O Lord, for I call out to you for help. Let the wicked be disgraced; let them lie silent in the grave.

We benefit when we serve God. Our abundance and our glory is in Jesus. Only God has our key ๐Ÿ”‘. Only Jesus can unlock the jewels ๐Ÿ’Ž He placed in us. 

If we never go to the locksmith we will always be bound. The chains of our past will never be broken. We will always be victims and never victors. We will always blame someone or something for who we are instead of allowing God to be Lord in our lives. 

Allow God to excavate those deep rooted issues to reveal your true beauty.

We often wonder why good godly people die. Why didn’t God save my child, my mother, my sister? Why God, they were good, they loved you?

Isaiah 57:1-2 (NLT)
Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or l wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come. For those who follow godly paths will rest in peace when they die.

Trust that God knows what he is doing. Each of us belong to the Lord. When God calls us to him it is because we belong to him. 

God knows your pain. Your loss has not gone unnoticed. Jesus is a comforter. Allow Jesus to comfort your heart.

Why Lord?๐Ÿค”

Today’s Inspiration ๐Ÿค”☀️๐Ÿค—
Sometimes we ask why? 
Why did God allow this...
Why am I going through this...
Why my child...
Why my spouse...
Why, why, why

Jesus often ask the same question. 
Why do they fall into temptation when I have given them a way out?
Why do they seek the world before seeking Me...
Why do they satisfy their flesh and not their Spirit?
Why don’t they listen?
Why, why, why....

It’s interesting we have questions for God but have not examined ourselves. When we ask why, we forget God is God! We forget God is Holy and Sovereign. 

When our perspective isn’t aligned with Christ we will always think according to our distorted worldly views because our hearts are naturally wicked. 

Jeremiah 17:9 (NLT) “The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is?

God is all powerful and All Mighty. God is NOT our servant. God is Alpha and Omega. God is the Most High Creator. The Creator of the universe. The Creator of the heavens and the earth ๐ŸŒ. 

When we bring God down to our level, we expect God to think like us, serve us, and give us what we want. We are not spoiled babes.  We are disciples. We are called to follow Christ.

Isaiah 55:8-9 (NLT)
“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord.
“And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.
For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways
and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.

We often do not have the self-discipline to refrain from simple temptations. 
We frequently do not find time to read, study, or mediate on God’s. 
Yet we seem to find time to criticize and question God’s plans ๐Ÿค”. 

We can only come close to understanding the will of God when we read the word of God. Seek God first and always. Don’t ask why. Just say not my will but your will be done (Luk 22:42).

We think we have time and we can wait until we “get ourselves together.” We have an expiration date and only our Creator knows the date and time. Jesus is the only one that can “get us together!” If we are in sin there will come a time when God will be hidden and far from us.

Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong.
Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them.
Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously.

Thirsty? Hungry?

Today’s Inspiration ๐Ÿค—❤️

Are you thirsty, ready for quenching? Are you hungry, ready for dinner? 

Do you approach the Lord with your ears wide open, ready to hear and receive instructions?

We often passively commune with God. We go to God with our wants and needs instead of seeking the Lord because He is Lord. 

Lord means ruler. God is our Master. 
God has authority and power. 
God has influence. 
God has the power to change our circumstances instantly. Jesus has influence and connections and can immediately open doors or permanently close them. 

God wants us fully present when we seek him. Jesus wants us to find ourselves in Him. Don’t seek advice when you haven’t sought God. Meditate on God’s word and don’t leave His presence until your thirst is quenched and your hunger is satisfied. 

Isaiah 55:3 (NLT)
“Come to me with your ears wide open.
Listen, and you will find life.
I will make an everlasting covenant with you.
I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David.

Go to God and seek your life and God’s Love. Jesus is waiting to make a covenant with you. Open your ears and hear. Open your heart to receive. Your life depends on your submission to the Lord. You cannot figure “You” out. Only God knows what you need. 

That void can only be filled by Jesus. Only God can make you whole and satisfy your thirst and hunger.

Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength? Why pay for food that does you no good?
Listen to me, and you will eat what is good.

The  Lord will light your path if you trust Him with the task. 
God knows our needs and he knows our ways. He is looking for us to surrender each and every day. 
God is our strength and will protect us if we fall but first we must give him, not some, but our all. 
Jesus wants to stretch us wide so He can expose our exquisite jewels that are hidden deep inside. 
It may hurt a little and cause pain for some but what masterpieces we will be when the Potter is done.

Trust God

We often trust the seat we sit on more than we trust the Lord. We don’t ask the chair if it will hold us but we frequently doubt if God will. 

Isaiah 40:31 (NLT)
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.

Our strength is in Lord. If you are tired, weary, or faint, ask yourself are there areas in your life you have not fully given to the Lord?

Jesus the the best General Manager. When we seek the Lord we must wait for instructions.  When we trust God we receive new strength and soar, we walk and not faint, we run at full strength. 

God’s yolk in easy and His burden is light (Matt 11:30). If your burdens are heavy you are carrying more than your portion. 
Remember God created you. He can handle you and anything you are going through.

When we submit, love, and obey God, it is easier  to submit to our husbands, to love our wives, and to obey our parents.

Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.

When we love God it is easier to love our neighbors.

Are not submitting, loving, and obeying God? 

If you do not trust God, you cannot submit and obey the Lord. Ask God to help your unbelief.

How do we respond when God says no?  

Do we look for ways to manipulate the situation to get what we want? 
Do we complain? 
Do we seek advice or guidance from those who will agree with us? 
Do we assume our prayers weren't answered because God didn't give us what we wanted?

God cares more about our salvation than our desires. Jesus may be trying to improve our character in preparation for our promotion. 
God wants us to be immovable in our purpose with the power Christ unrestricted, unlimited, unbounded, moving through us, working in us, with liberty to accomplish His plan for our lives. 

If we focus on what we want we will fail to receive what we need. 

When we surrender our will to God's plan we move from rebellion to submission. God wants our yes!

2 Corinthians 12:7-9 (NLT)
..even though I have received such wonderful revelations from God. So to keep me from becoming proud, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to torment me and keep me from becoming proud.
Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. 
Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.

Trust God to mold and shape you for His glory. Our ways are not God's ways and our thoughts are not God's thoughts. 

If you are experiencing "no" or "wait" from the Lord, remember what God told Paul  "My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness."

When citizens enlist in the service they have an expectation that their service may mean combat. 

We enlisted in the army of the Lord, why are we surprised when we are deployed?

When Paul and Silas were deployed they answered with a resounding yes!

God through them was able to break strongholds and save souls. 

Your trial is not for you, it is just a part of combat. Sing and pray to the Lord so those around you may be healed, set free, and delivered. 

Acts 16:29-33 (NLT)
The jailer called for lights and ran to the dungeon and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. Then he brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.” And they shared the word of the Lord with him and with all who lived in his household. Even at that hour of the night, the jailer cared for them and washed their wounds. Then he and everyone in his household were immediately baptized.

If you are deployed, God trusted you to follow through.

Today's Inspiration ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ™Œ❤️

When we encounter fierce opposition we should immediately look for God. If we are feeling oppressed or bound, there is a blessing in the midst. We have to stand firm in Jesus. 

Paul and Silas were wrongly accused, beaten, and incarcerated.  Still they looked for Jesus! 

When Paul and Silas sang and prayed to the Lord, God responded with a great earthquake. The prison foundation was violently erupted. The doors became completely unhinged, the chains holding the prisoners were broken. 

When God opens doors they cannot be closed! God can send an earthquake to completely destroy the foundation of your closed door. If a door is shut in your life that God has promised you, sing and pray to the Lord. Look for your earthquake. 

Acts 16:25-26 (NKJV)
But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. 
Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's chains were loosed. 

When we find ourselves in impossible situations we need to look for God to send an earthquake. Some strongholds need to be violently erupted. Some doors require a key and sometimes God has to break the foundation. 

God can do the impossible but it is according to your faith. Have faith in God. Don't concern yourself with what you see. You serve the King. Look for the earthquake.

We are children of the King. We are where we are to influence. Even if where we are is painful. 

Paul and Silas were beaten and thrown into jail for serving the Lord. They did not allow their condition to dictate their praise. They were not victims focused on the injustice they were victors focused on the King.

They were in prison but they were not prisoners. They we beaten but they were not beat. 

We cannot give into our circumstances and  become what we see. We must always rise above, because we are children of the King. 
We have to walk in our truth, have faith, and never doubt. Always trusting, Jesus will bring us out. 

Acts 16:25-26 (NKJV)
But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's chains were loosed.

Sometimes we are placed in difficult situations to loose the chains of those that are bound. 

If we focus on our hurt and pain we take our focus off of Jesus and become victims and prisoners to our pain. 

There are people around us who are bound, bitter, & broken. We are in our storm to break their chains. 

Someone's salvation is dependent on your pain, prayers, and praise.  

You might be in prison but you are not a prisoner. You might be in pain but you serve the healer. 

The prisoners are listening. Their chains need to be broken. You are on assignment. Pray through the pain. Praise in the rain. Trust the process.

Do Not Judge a Brother
Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He who speaks evil of a brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge.

Sometimes we are so quick to judge others. We are called to be disciples not judges. 

James 4:12 (NLT)
God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge. He alone has the power to save or to destroy. So what right do you have to judge your neighbor?

When we sit in the judgment seat we are out of order and we are judging without all the facts. God alone has all the facts and only He can judge. 

It is by God's grace we are where we are. When we judge others we place ourselves above them. It is God's grace that has saved us not our efforts. Have grace for others.

Some of us think we have buried or hid our darkness. We later realize it's the under current to everything we believe, say or do. 

When we allow Jesus into our hearts, He will shine His beautiful light on our darkness. Jesus will expose those unhealed areas that hold us back. God will challenge us to face our darkness so it will no longer hold us captive. 

2 Samuel 22:29 (NKJV)
“For You are my lamp, O Lord; The Lord shall enlighten my darkness.

God desires to enlighten our darkness. We cannot be in relationship with the healer and not expect healing. We cannot cherry pick what we want God to do in our lives. Jesus is not going to ignore those areas that are holding us back. 

Have you ever wanted to lose weight in one area? It never works. Our body is one. Jesus is not in the business of spot healing. When we go to the Lord He sees everything and specializes in every part of us. 

Our purpose requires us to be whole. Our purpose requires us to operate at peak performance. When we are damaged we damage others. 

Stop hiding your darkness. Acknowledge your brokenness and allow Jesus to make you whole.

Jesus gently guides us to righteousness. When we allow God to be our shield, He makes us great! He covers us in war. He enlarges our path. Jesus gives of strength and power.

As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.

When we trust God he will allow us to leap over walls and will place our enemies at our feet.

Who do we call when we need love or when we are in distress? Do we call a friend, a family member, or a significant other? Do we call Jesus?

2 Samuel 22:7 (NKJV)
In my distress I called upon the Lord, And cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry entered His ears.

Our cries are delivered to God's ears. 

God can only hear our cry if we cry out to Him. Some of us refuse to cry or refuse to call out to the Lord when we are in distress. We try to handle it ourselves or we vent to someone else. 

We need lay down our pride and cry out to the Lord. 

2 Samuel 22:32-33 (NLT)
For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock? God is my strong fortress, and he makes my way perfect.

God is the solid rock. There isn't anyone we could call that would be a better protector or a clearer guide. 

Confide in God, trust He is will provide, because He is the only one that is qualified!

Some of us have an idea of God but have not truly experienced the Lord. 

It's when we smell His sweet aroma, see His glory, experience His mercy, or feel His Holy Spirit moving in us or around us, that we can freely give our lives and live boldly for the Lord.

And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?

Jesus is greater when we make Him greater. When we focus our minds and hearts on Jesus we declare to the world, that only Jesus can have our soul. 

When we deny our flesh we are really denying ourselves from from being destroyed and saying yes to being blessed!

Following Jesus is not about religion. Following Jesus is all about being in love with our Lord and Savior and eagerly looking for opportunities to do our Father's business. 

God is looking for our whole heart and He will give us our desires (Psa 37:4).

Love, love, and more love. 

God is against those who do evil. God hears the prayers of those pursuing peace.

Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous;

Sometimes it's hard to think of ourselves as evil. When we retaliate that is evil. When we use language to hurt or degrade someone that is evil. 

1 Peter 3:9 (NLT)
Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will grant you his blessing.
 
God allows us to be angry but instructs us not to sin (Eph 4:26). 

1 Peter 3:10-12 (NLT)
“If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it. The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers. But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil.”

We are called to not only search for peace but pursue it to maintain peace in our surroundings. 

God's word is not dependent on our mood or our feelings. 

Forgive quickly. Don't allow anger to cause you to sin against God.

Bless your stress....

We often stress over our lack. We magnify what we don't have and minimize what we do have. 

We have Jesus! The outcome of every situation changes when we give it to Jesus!

If we are magnifying our problems we are minimizing our God. 

When Jesus had to feed thousands on five loaves and two fish, He blessed the disciples stress. 

The disciples were stressing over their lack. Jesus said take your authority back. 

Mark 6:36-38 (NLT)
Send the crowds away so they can go to the nearby farms and villages and buy something to eat.” But Jesus said, “You feed them.”
“With what?” they asked. “We’d have to work for months to earn enough money to buy food for all these people!” “How much bread do you have?” he asked. “Go and find out.”
They came back and reported, “We have five loaves of bread and two fish.”

Don't magnify the problem. Magnify the Solver.

And when He had taken the five loaves and the two fish, He looked up to heaven, blessed and broke the loaves, and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and the two fish He divided among them all.

Temptation comes in many different forms. Temptation is a strong desire to do something unwise.

Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

To overcome temptation, our love for God must be greater than our love for ourselves. 

Temptation is personalized to our own desires. 
Desires give birth to sin and full grown sin brings death.

Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. Today's Inspiration ❣️☀️

What percentage of time do we spend seeking the Lord? We have 10,080 minutes in a week. 

How many minutes do we spend worshipping, praying, seeking, acknowledging, reading, or talking to the Lord?

There is only one that wakes us, feeds us, clothes, and protects us. 

There is only one ☝️ who can save us. 

Where are we investing our time?

Jeremiah 2:11-13 (NLT)
Has any nation ever traded its gods for new ones, even though they are not gods at all?
Yet my people have exchanged their glorious God for worthless idols!
The heavens are shocked at such a thing
and shrink back in horror and dismay,”
says the Lord.
“For my people have done two evil things:
They have abandoned me—the fountain of living water. And they have dug for themselves cracked cisterns that can hold no water at all!

We have a glorious God. Don't trade Him for selfies ๐Ÿคณ, selfish desires, anger, stubbornness, resentment, unforgivenes, bitterness, sex, drugs, work, people, relationships, kids, TV, social media, or anything else that separates us from the Lord. 

Anything that we value more than serving the Lord is a god in our lives and therefore we have traded the true and living God for a worthless idol. 

Don't abandon Jesus. Seek the Lord in all things, at all times, and He will direct your path and make your way straight. 

There is no better investment than spending time with the Lord. The blessings of the Lord makes us rich and adds no sorrow.

The word of God provides direction and protection. The ways of the world are often contrary the word of God. 

If not careful, we could find ourselves trying to compromise the word of God to fit our lifestyles. When we compromise the word of God we will likely despise the word when we don't agree. 

Proverbs 13:13 (AMPC)
Whoever despises the word and counsel [of God] brings destruction upon himself, but he who [reverently] fears and respects the commandment [of God] is rewarded.

Fear the Lord and obey His commands and be rewarded. 

We have a choice. Choose wisely!

Don't be afraid to live your dreams. God has given us vision and provision. We just have to say yes to faith and no to fear.

God has given us dreams to be fulfilled not concealed.  Your tree will provide shade and substance to someone else. They can't receive their deliverance until you say yes. 

Say yes to be blessed. Walk in faith and don't stress. God's got your tree of success. He is simply waiting on your yes!

When God gives us a charge or a vision we should be bold and fearless in executing what God has given us. 

Jeremiah 1:18-19 (NLT)
For see, today I have made you strong like a fortified city that cannot be captured, like an iron pillar or a bronze wall. You will stand against the whole land— the kings, officials, priests, and people of Judah. They will fight you, but they will fail. For I am with you, and I will take care of you. I, the Lord, have spoken!”

God has made us a fortified city! When God is for us who could be against us?

We will face opposition when we rest in the Lord. We have to know the opposer will fail. Fear is directly related to our beliefs. 

If we believe a bear is dangerous, we will likely run or hide if the bear is loose. Conversely, if we are at the zoo and we see a caged bear we will likely stand and watch. The bear is still dangerous. The difference is we believed in the cage. 

It's the same with our belief in God. If we believe God is our cage and is protecting us we will faith in His protection and not fear in the situation. 

Stay in Jesus. Seek God continually.

We live in a world where we want what we want when we want it. Some of us can be immovable or stubborn when it comes to our wants. 

When we find ourselves closing our ears to counsel we should be sure we are on the right side. We should seek the Lord and ask the Lord to soften our hearts where necessary. 

In order to move from glory to glory, we need instruction. The Spirit of the Lord corrects us as well as guides us. It is up to us to listen. 

Proverbs 13:18 (AMPC)
Poverty and shame come to him who refuses instruction and correction, but he who heeds reproof (correction) is honored.

We are not always right. Our way may not be the best, even when we think we have heard from the Lord. There may be additional instructions God has for us as we move through a process. We should stop to hear what the Lord is saying during each step. 

1 Samuel 15:23 (NLT)
Rebellion is as sinful as witchcraft, and stubbornness as bad as worshiping idols. 

Refusing to take correction is witchcraft. Stubbornness is worshipping ourselves and deciding to be lord over our lives instead of allowing the Most High God, King of the universe to be Lord over us. 

Give yourself a break. It's ok to be wrong and it's ok to change your mind. Seek the Lord continually, especially as the details change. 

Delay does not mean denied. Just lay down your pride and let God be your guide.

Are we producing fruit ๐Ÿ‰ or jealous of someone's loot ๐Ÿ‘€. 

We are God's masterpiece. A masterpiece is a work of outstanding artistry, skill, and workmanship. It's an artist best work. 

Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

We should never find ourselves jealous or envious.

We are God's workmanship. 
We were created by the Master Artist. 
What God has for us cannot be birthed out of jealousy.

Thieves are jealous of each other’s loot, but the godly are well rooted and bear their own fruit.

We have our own fruit to bear. Jealousy causes us to want someone else's fruit. We are originals. We are new in Christ Jesus!

We can only walk in our purpose when we acknowledge we have one! 

We must keep our eyes on Jesus for direction.

Upper Limit Faith

Everyone has been given a measure of faith. We all have an upper limit of faith. Our upper limit is usually tested during hard times. It usually presents itself when we encounter unfamiliar trials. 

When Jesus was on the boat with the disciples and the boat encountered a terrible storm, the disciples hit their upper limit of faith. 
They had faith in the storm. They even had faith when the boat began to take on water. It was when the boat was full of water and it began to sink that they hit their upper limit of faith. 

Mark 4:37 
And a furious storm of wind [of hurricane proportions] arose, and the waves kept beating into the boat, so that it was already filled.

When it appears that we are sinking and we have reached our upper limit of faith we need to watch our confessions. When the storms are raging and it appears we are going to die we must remember we are in God's hands and we must confess God's word. 

Mark 4:38-40 (NLT)
Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion. The disciples woke him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?”
When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!” Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm. Then he asked them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?”

We have to watch our upper limit of faith. When we are tested we must remember to go to the Father with faith and not fear. Confess the word of the Lord always!

Confess:
God you said you would never leave me or forsake me. I am in need of your help today. Lord you said be strong and of good courage (Deut 31:6) please give me courage in this storm. Lord you said you would rebuke the devourer (Mal 3:11) for my sake. Lord I need you to rebuke the wind and silence the waves. 

Trust God, He specializes in the impossible. Remember you cannot drown if you are on the same ship as the Lord. You are in His hands. Be strong and have faith in God.

Being humble before the Lord means always placing the Lord above our wants, needs, or desires. When we say yes to the Lord we place Jesus above our desires. 

When we make plans we should always consult the Lord and remind ourselves we are fragile and have very little control over our lives. We should always remember God is in control and has the final say in our plans. 

James 4:14-16 (NLT)
How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. What you ought to say is, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.” Otherwise you are boasting about your own pretentious plans, and all such boasting is evil.

When making plans remember to place the Lord above your plans. 

He is The Lord and should be Lord over our lives.
