Submit, Love, & Obey

Every moment of our lives should be spent submitting to God, loving God, and obeying God. 

James 4:7 (KJV)

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

When we submit, love, and obey God, it is easier  to submit to our husbands, to love our wives, and to obey our parents. 

Colossians 3:18-20 (KJV)

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. 

Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.

Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.

When we love God it is easier to love our neighbors.

Leviticus 19:18 (KJV)

Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord. 

Are not submitting, loving, and obeying God? 

If you do not trust God, you cannot submit and obey the Lord. Ask God to help your unbelief.

How do we respond when God says no?  

Do we look for ways to manipulate the situation to get what we want? 

Do we complain? 

Do we seek advice or guidance from those who will agree with us? 

Do we assume our prayers weren't answered because God didn't give us what we wanted?

God cares more about our salvation than our desires. Jesus may be trying to improve our character in preparation for our promotion. 

God wants us to be immovable in our purpose with the power Christ unrestricted, unlimited, unbounded, moving through us, working in us, with liberty to accomplish His plan for our lives. 

If we focus on what we want we will fail to receive what we need. 

When we surrender our will to God's plan we move from rebellion to submission. God wants our yes!

2 Corinthians 12:7-9 (NLT)

..even though I have received such wonderful revelations from God. So to keep me from becoming proud, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to torment me and keep me from becoming proud.

Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. 

Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.

Trust God to mold and shape you for His glory. Our ways are not God's ways and our thoughts are not God's thoughts. 

If you are experiencing "no" or "wait" from the Lord, remember what God told Paul  "My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness."

We were created to create. 

We were created to multiply. 

God has planted a seed in each of us and we have work to do. 

Everyone will not receive what God has given us to do. 

Focus on your assignment and you will be rewarded. 

Luke 9:5 (KJV)

And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.

Some of us hold on to the opinions of others when God has given us a charge. 

If you are paralyzed by opinions, shake the very dust from your feet and move forward.

A Living Sacrifice to God

And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.

Don't be afraid to give your all to God. God always gives us so much more in return.  

Trust God! 

Invest your mind, your time, and your temple to the Lord. We can never beat God giving.

How can you fix what is wrong if you don't follow what is right?

Two wrongs will never be right. 

2 Timothy 3:16 (NLT)

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.

If you don't want to be corrected, and cannot be taught, you cannot look to God when you are frustrated and distraught. 

God's word is true and is there to guide us to do what is right. Open it today so your life will shine bright.
